Services

What we do for AI companies going global.

Four services delivered by one senior team at The Bodden Group. They can run together as a full programme or in isolation, depending on where a company stands when we start.

From market thesis to first revenue.

Companies enter new markets carrying an assumption stack that looks solid on paper. Six months in, the assumptions meet reality. The buyer turns out to be someone the plan did not name; the channel takes a form the deck did not anticipate; the pricing collapses at first proposal. The Bodden Group designs the programme that catches that pattern before it costs a year.

What we do:

  • Market thesis. We define the specific reason a target geography will respond to your product now, and the specific segments that will move first.
  • Proposition and pricing. We rebuild the proposition for the local buyer and set a price that anchors the sales motion.
  • Channel and operating model. We choose the route to market that fits the product and the margin. We specify what the local operating footprint needs to look like.
  • Sequencing. We schedule the first ninety days of activity so that momentum compounds.

By the end of the engagement the company has a named target account list it can reach, a working sales conversation that has been pressure-tested against real buyers, a pricing structure the market accepts at first proposal, and an operating footprint sized to the pipeline it needs to support.

Fit: Companies with a working product in one market and a considered reason to enter another.

The commercial layer around an AI product.

Many AI companies carry a real technical advantage and a commercial motion that has yet to catch up with it. Founders spend on paid channels ill-suited to an enterprise sale. Sales teams sell features instead of outcomes. Pricing ends up following what the last three competitors did. The Bodden Group rebuilds the commercial motion around what the product is worth.

What we do:

  • Productisation. Translate a research or platform capability into a product a specific buyer will pay for.
  • Positioning. Rewrite the story so it lands with the person signing the contract.
  • Pricing. Move pricing off cost-plus and onto value, with a structure the sales team can defend under pressure.
  • Motion. Match the sales motion to the buyer (product-led, sales-led, or partner-led) and tune the org around the choice.

The AI-specific work:

AI companies face commercial problems that classic B2B advisory has yet to work out. How to price non-deterministic outputs is one. How to defend a moat under model commoditisation is another. So is the question of how to explain a probabilistic system to a procurement team that expects deterministic answers. The Bodden Group works these problems directly.

Fit: Series A to Series C AI companies whose product works and whose commercial engine is behind.

Presence is not activation.

Most companies land in a new market with an office, a first hire, and a launch event, then wait for the pipeline to appear. It seldom does. What opens a market is the work of getting a company into the meetings that shift local opinion of it, and that work is a specialism of its own.

Three layers of activation:

  • Operators. The Bodden Group introduces the operators who can carry a company inside a market: former executives, category leaders, and the people who chair the rooms that matter.
  • Buyers. We open first meetings with the buyers a company needs. Every meeting is briefed properly, at the level a founder can move.
  • Regulators and institutions. Where a market's regulatory or institutional layer matters (and for AI, it usually does), we engage it directly.

In-market presence:

The Bodden Group travels to the markets we open. We do not run activation through partners or through a Zoom link. When a company engages us for a country, it engages people who have done business there.

Regional focus today:

  • Europe. United Kingdom, Germany, France, the Nordics, Iberia, selected Central European markets.
  • Americas. United States (East and West coasts), Canada, Mexico.
  • Asia. Singapore, Japan, South Korea, selected markets in India and the Gulf.

Fit: Companies whose product is credible but whose brand does not yet carry weight in the target market.

Named accounts, opened and worked.

Most companies task in-house teams with international business development before those teams have the network, the local judgement, or the calendar to do it well. Six months later the pipeline is usually a list of contacted names with very few live conversations attached to any of them. The Bodden Group accelerates the in-house function without replacing it.

What we do:

  • Build the target account list against a defined thesis, without a scraped database.
  • Open the first meeting at the right level, with a proper brief.
  • Stay in the account through the second and third meeting, where most external partners drop out.
  • Hand over cleanly to the internal team when the deal is in motion.

Commercial model:

Where the engagement lends itself to it, The Bodden Group structures fees against pipeline and conversion. This aligns our incentives with the commercial team we are working alongside.

Fit: AI companies and scale-ups with a defined ICP, a working product, and a specific set of accounts to reach across the three regions we cover.

One engagement, one senior team.

Every engagement is led by a partner and sized to stay senior. The Bodden Group does not layer juniors between the work and the client. If you are not certain which service is the right entry point, start with a conversation and we will tell you.
