About
A London advisory for technology companies going international.
Before The Bodden Group existed, its founders spent a decade watching technology companies with genuinely good products stall in markets that should have been open to them. The product and strategy were usually in place; what had been designed in one market had been shipped, largely unchanged, into another. The Bodden Group is the firm the founders wish had existed then.
Why The Bodden Group exists.
Most market-entry work fails quietly. It fails in the six months after a launch. A company discovers that the plan did not survive contact with the buyer, and the reason is that the strategy was written far from the market it was meant to describe.
The Bodden Group exists to close that distance. We work from London because it remains the most useful base for a firm operating internationally, and we work with AI companies because that is the client group most under-served by traditional advisory.
Our Philosophy
-
Commercial before conceptual.
A strategy that does not survive a first sales call is not a strategy. Every engagement is pressure-tested against real buyers before it becomes a plan.
-
Operators over frameworks.
We have written our share of frameworks. What decides a market is the operator we introduce and the meeting we brief on the right week.
-
Restraint in advice.
A good advisor tells a client fewer things, more clearly, and stays in the room while they are done. The Bodden Group works with a small number of companies at a time.
Geography
Three regions,
one team.
The Bodden Group advises clients across three regions: Europe, the Americas, Asia. The team works from London and travels to markets. When we open a country, we go in with people who have done business there.
Standards
What our work looks like.
Every engagement is led by a partner, every artefact ends up written down, and every fee carries a defined exit. We take a small number of engagements at a time, price against outcome where the engagement allows, and stay until the motion holds.
